Challenge
Kimberly-Clark needed a more effective way to demonstrate the benefits of a newly launched hand towel dispenser system across sales and marketing environments. Historically, the brand had relied on live product demonstrations or 2D marketing assets to communicate performance and reliability. While effective at a basic level, these approaches did not fully convey the engineering innovation behind the product or clearly differentiate it from competing hardware solutions.
The objective was to help shift perception from product manufacturer to innovation led technology company, while still clearly demonstrating functional benefits such as reduced noise, efficiency, and reliability. The solution also needed to extend beyond live demonstrations and support ongoing sales conversations, customer education, and internal alignment.

Approach
We developed an interactive digital product demonstration designed to translate mechanical engineering into an intuitive and engaging story. Rather than relying on static visuals or physical demos alone, the experience combined sensory interaction with digital storytelling to make the product’s internal innovation visible and understandable.
At the center of the experience was an interactive application featuring an exploded digital view of the dispenser’s internal mechanics. Users could move through different layers of the product to see how specific engineering decisions contributed to near silent operation, improved efficiency, and long term reliability. This allowed complex mechanical concepts to be explored at the user’s pace without oversimplifying the science.
The experience was designed to be modular and reusable, enabling the same content to support sales presentations, customer education sessions, digital channels, and internal training programs.

The digital product demonstration created a highly differentiated way to communicate value and repositioned the dispenser as an engineering innovation rather than a commodity hardware upgrade. Sales teams gained a clearer and more compelling way to explain product benefits, while marketing teams gained a scalable asset that could live beyond individual demonstrations.
Internally, the experience supported a broader narrative shift, reinforcing Kimberly-Clark’s positioning as an innovation and technology driven organization. The approach also established a repeatable model for combining digital storytelling with product education across future launches.

This project demonstrated how digital storytelling can elevate product demonstration beyond performance claims alone. By making engineering visible and intuitive, complex products become easier to understand, more engaging to explore, and more compelling to sell.

Science, Supersized for Impact
Surrounded by digital screens and static slides, we used analogue storytelling to make complex dermatology science impossible to ignore. We were brought in to ideate a creative focal point that could attract healthcare professionals into the booth and reinforce key strategic messaging.
